The All Time Best Recipes To Make at Home While In Quarantine
When have we ever had to rely so heavily on products from our kitchen to make our favorite meals? While dining and take out are still great options during Coronavirus, these recipes will easily get you through the week while saving a few bucks in the meantime.
Meal prep these for great leftovers during the week by popping back in the oven.
Chicken Squares: Low cost & Easy Cleanup
Makes: 8 chicken squares, Serves 4
1 Package Cream cheese
½ Bag of frozen peas
1/2 pd Cooked shredded chicken
1 Chopped white onion
1 tsp Salt, pepper
1 tsp Garlic powder
2 tablespoons milk (any) but I like to use oat milk
2 packages of bisquick crescent roles
Cook chicken over the stove for about 15 minutes on medium heat until it is slightly undercooked. Once chicken is slightly undercooked, shred or cut into squares
In the meantime, mix softened cream cheese, peas, chopped onion, salt and pepper in a bowl.
Mix chicken into a bowl and stir.
Take crescent rolls and squares on a greased pan. Place the mixture into the center of the squares. Fold edges of crescent into the center.
Bake 20-25 minutes
Pro tip: Freeze leftovers in aluminum foil
Limeade: Boost your immune system
Makes 1 Pitcher of Limeade, Serves 2
6 limes
8 cups water
½ cup sugar
Squeeze 6 limes into a pitcher, add 8 cups of water. Mix in ½ cup of sugar, or however much you like. Enjoy!
Spicy Guacamole: Add to Your Toast!
Serves: 2
½ bunch cilantro
4 avocados
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1 tbsp Jalapeño juice
1 onion
1 lime
1 tsp cayenne pepper
Slice avocado in half and mash with a fork. Add rest of ingredients into avocado bowl and mix together. Spice to your liking, but don’t forget the jalapeño juice for a delicious spicy kick! Add to toast for breakfast, or enjoy with tortilla chips.
